Gio Vin is an importer and distributor of quality wines from Italy, and is based in Bergen. The company, was established in 2018 by Giovanni Scorrano, an Italian born and raised among the family vineyards, and with passion for Italian wine, culture and traditions.
The main founder of Gio Vin, Giovanni Scorrano, is born into the 4th generation of a local winemaking family from Manduria, Puglia. From his grandfather and father he watched and learned the process of winemaking; from growing and harvesting grapes to making the wine in winery of the family’s home. His knowledge and experience about wine, is a valuable asset for Gio Vin and for the company’s future.

We proudly specialize in representing the region of Puglia, Southern Italy, although we also handpick wines from across Italy.
Puglia, the region located in the heel of the country, between two seas, is known for its Mediterranean climate and unique landscape. The most typical wines of this region is Primitivo di Manduria, Negroamaro and Salice Salentino -wines that are known for their deep color and intense flavor – wines with strong character and identity.
